Might be due to how keychain syncs with apple so that your keys can be used cross device. I am aware that this is not a supported backup solution. I don't do anything and everything returns normal again after a few days. in any way.

The error message scrolls from above, covers the entire screen in a dark grayish color and says I must hold down the power button in order to restart my computer. After looking in the system log, I see that 'diskimage helper' is automatically unmounting the sparsebundle before the backup can be made. What could an aquatic civilization use to write on/with? I found mounting the Time Machine volume either using it's FQDN or IP address then setting up TM gets around this issue, mDNS is out of the picture. However, if I stop netatalk, repartition the USB drive to a single EXT4 partition, mkfs.ext4, remount and chmod, chgrp, and share with netatalk, then I do not see this error and

Find that "sparse image" file for your computer and open it. When I made the new images per the instructions, I set it at 220 GB, since the backup drive could support it, and still had no luck. I'm going to remove / re-add the Time Machine volume now, and I expect it to continue working.
