They said my internal hard drive was corrupt. I have already lost one set of backups, thinking I needed to reformat the drive. Then run Disk Utility (in /Applications/Utilities), select the disk with the suspected problem, and on the First Aid tab press the Repair Disk button in the lower right corner. Reply Eric Foust 5/26/08 8:45 PM I used automator and "do something when" (software) to create a action that when an external drive is mounted it runs the automator action that I've tried deleting it, and starting over, it will still fail with the same error, different file. It's probably another case of Apple crippling software/hardware abilities, this time within the Time Machine software itself. Copy stage failed with error:11So what is an error 11?

I've been having a heck of a lot of issues with trying to get a Time Machine backup set up, even though my Mac is almost a year and a half Update, from the posters update....
