I do agree that it seems a little off that by default it is 30 seconds but will not work unless you manually set it to 30. Anonymous Access Disabled By Default You will probably find everything from GP gets installed again on reboot. I was logging on client machines as domain user and able to access a shared folder containing MSI installation packages without any problem.

In Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Group Policy, enable "Startup policy processing wait time" option with the value of 30 seconds. check over here I was logging into client machines as domain user with Enterprise/Domain admin privileges and able to access a shared folder containing MSI installation packages without any problem.
After enabling it and giving read/write permissions to MSI folder was able to successfully deploy majority of packages and only synology-cloud-station-3.1.-3320.msi failed (need to look into it). i will tell you the result if it's work or not..btw i create your blog address as one of my blogroll :D Reply akbaraji says: October 19, 2012 at 5:55 pm Any ideas on how to troubleshoot that?
